La Boca Loca – Miramar, Wellington (New Zealand) en

Summary
The venue
The team
On that day , the manager was a lovely Mexican chef that I can’t find not the About Us section on the web site. we talked for a while , I congratulated her about the food , and was really listening to my comments about her desert. She seemed flattered about that and I liked it.
The team was really cool , even though one of the waiters’ outfit could have been a little bit neater.
The meal
The basis of the food here : local products , local fishings , farmyard poultries. So appreciable ! Juce of the day : Vanilla and strawberry I think . Enjoy !
Plat
I asked the waitress for her favorite food. The good thing is that her advice was the course I thought about with my friend : the dried fish burritos.
Pescado Ahumado ; dried fish , onions, lettuce, tomatoes, organic rice and chiptole mayo with salsa ranchera&sour cream.
Just awesome ! Even thought this does not really fit food , that’s how I had to say it. The flavor in mouth was just a complete explosion and that’s what we usually miss in parisian mexican restaurants. Moreover, in New Zealand, anglo-Saxon food usually suffers from having fried potatoes in it, bread or sour cream. So having a fresh course like this one was really delightful.
Dessert
Coconut custard tart :
The traditional mexican custard tart is made with coconut and hibiscus caramel. Even though the custard tart was great, I think there was too much coconut and chocolate chips around. That’s what I told the Chef about.
We also got the chance to taste the home made chocolate ice cream. It was perfect and even more because we could take away the rest.
The verdict
For la boca Loca : That’s a yes !
