Jelgava’s Palace- Jelgava (Latvia)

Summary
It’s Rastrelli, the Italian architect, who also built Saint Petersbourg winter palace, that built this one in the 18th century. Today, the palace houses the University of Agriculture, but once upon a time, it was the Dukes residence.

The backstory
Louis XVIII and his family lived there when they escaped the French Revolution in 1797-1801.

The meal
For fun, you can go check out the university’s mini cafeteria in the basement, but I didn’t see anything amazing:)
