Vegafé – Vilnius (Lithuania) en

Summary
A restaurant that’s always full, and that succeeds in being modern and trendy without being in your face. At Vilnius, a lot of new places look too showy.
The menu is serious, we can even find their recipes because they have them there for us.
A welcome addition in a country in which vegetarian food becomes increasingly popular, yet stays discreet even though we find excellent vegetables there.
The venue
There’s lots of room, lot of light. There’s also a nice corner where you can sit on a carpet around two low tables.
The team
Particularly nice and attentive.
The meal
There are dishes of the day, and I chose the vegetarian option, the kharcho, a Caucase soup from the Caucasia region ( in Georgia I believe), usually cooked with beef.

Cucumber salad with avocados, lentils, flax seed oil and flax seeds
This salad is a rich omega acid source ( don’t ask me what it is, but I’m sure it’s good for you)
This salad is perfect, light and gives you lots of energy.

Tibetan Raviolis « momo »
Lightly grilled raviolis stuffed with vegetables and soy, soya sauce, ginger, and grilled sesame
The verdict
A restaurant that’s worth knowing, especially if you want something other than potatoes and other grilled meats.
Very pleasant experience.
36,30 Litas for everything , so 10,50 euros.
