Summary
It is a bright restaurant, situated practically on the bank of the Odet. We ate well, accompanying the dishes of the day with natural wine.
The venue
The restaurant overlooks a calm Theatre Square. There was lots of space inside. Alright, I have been there at midday when it’s quiet, I haven’t tested the “full restaurant for the evening” version.
The team
There was a person in charge and I didn’t have any complaints, service was efficient and precise without giving any hints.
The meal
They focus on suppliers.
19 euros for appetizer-main-dessert or 20 euros for a single dish, so it’s enough to say that if the menu does not satisfy you, get prepared to break your piggy bank.
Haddock terrine and cabbage salad, delicious.
Hake with eggplant caviar, the fish is perfectly cooked and very well presented. It is different from dishes of this type that look quite the same in Paris.
Vegetable plate with breathtaking presentation and lots of taste. Still, 19 euros for a vegetarian dish is powerful.
Panna cotta with citrus, aux agrumes, jelly with citrus, aux agrumes, orange tile, a beautiful dessert.
The verdict
Even though it’s costly, the restaurant offers a good value for products and cooking. It could be found rightfully excessive for Quimper but the fact is that I do not know so many restaurants that propose such a cuisine in the town.
