Alus Krodzins-Jurmala (Latvia)
Summary
A nice little restaurant making traditional food; the main pedestrian street was full of restaurants and cafés, so there were a lot of tourists, hence why we were so happy to find a nice little pub that serves some good beer and good food.
The backstory
It’s the young lady at the tourism office that recommended to me right away when I told her about the places I liked to blog about on 716.
The venue
Little house in the prairie atmosphere inside, just want to remind you that I was there in October, so I didn’t see the patio outside when it’s full.
The team
At first I thought the server behind the bar was a little distant, but as soon as I told him I was a blogger, he was cool; actually I don’t think it was the fact that I was a blogger that made him nice, because he was nice to all the other clients, it might have been because he was wondering why I was bothering him at the beginning with all my questions
The meal
Started off with a nice local beer that I already had at Putelkrogs, at Tervete actually.
I asked the guy what his recommendations were; I wanted something local and not too heavy, so I got a local perch, breaded, perfect. It was difficult at times to eat light throughout this Latvia journey, this kind of dish for dinner couldn’t make me any happier, it was perfect, and with a beer, even better.
