Hetk – Tallinn (Estonia) en

Summary
It’s the first place I went to when I arrived in the city. I was starving, so I went early, therefore I didn’t see it at night, some friends did tell me they spent a pretty joyful New Year Eve’s party here though.
But, I really liked the decor, the service was friendly, and the burger was great!
This Hekt is a good place to try out, even if there are some misses here and there on the menu.
The venue
The team
That day, the waitresses were one the ball and gave good advice. It was a bit slow at first, because the room was empty, but they quickly got their groove back.
The meal

Ok, so let’s take a look at this menu.

I ask the waitress for advice, she recommends the Veiselihaburger.
The bread is toasted, which makes all the difference, but it already tastes good on its own. I think the sides could have been bigger, or at least with maybe some more vinaigrette.
The burger is actually super juicy, and when you’re done eating it, the wooden plank is covered with juice.
There was a paprika and lemon mayonnaise that came with it that was too sweet and the side that came with it was good, but too salty for me.
Other than that, for 7,90 euros, in a city that doesn’t necessary have many good deals, this burger was a find! Definitely going back!
With it, I ordered a draft beer ( happy hour price on it: 3 euros!) unfortunately there weren’t many local beers available, but there were still some from Estonia on tap which was really nice.

The verdict
I’m ending this as I started it: the food is good and healthy ( fresh produce), and the local draft beers are of good quality in a pub that’s starting out well and is surely going places. Good find!
