Moustache – Bologna (Italy) en
Summary
Moustache is the story of a coup de coeur: a restaurant/bar in which we feel good, where the cocktails are good, all of this served by a team of young, dynamic, hard working women.
The venue
Opened since May 28th 2011, it’s more a restaurant than a bar, at least at dinner time. But there were two tables at the front and the counter where I wasn’t alone sipping on a drink.
The interior design is charming, has style, between “chinés” object, funky elements and its raw/sober/cozy side.

I was meeting up with friends at the Al Modo Infoshop, a two-part space combining a bookstore/ cd store and bar/concert coffee shop, for a concert by Terje Nordgarden, a Norwegian singer that shares with his compatriot Orlend Eye his place in Italy and now sings in Italian.
As a matter of fact, Erlend Oye was at this concert, he lives in Sicily close to Syracuse, and his productions are like breathing in the Mediterranean dolce vita, didn’t he say that what he needed were the sun, the sea and the music?
The team
The person “pêchue” that was serving me was actually the boss, Chiara.
She chose the name Moustache because she thought it had a good ring to it.
Speaking of mustaches, lately their gaining popularity.

Among others there’s one of my favorite techno piece.
The meal
I didn’t try the dishes, it seemed a bit more expensive that your usual traditional Italian restaurant because it’s a bit more hip here.
For the cocktails however, the prices are very good, between 4 and 6 euros, and they were top notch.
My Bloody Mary was impeccable.
The 2nd was on Chiara’s recommendation, a white lady with passion fruit.
The verdict
Good spot! The cocktails are good, the atmosphere is heart-warming and simple.
