Fidel’s Cafe – Wellington (New Zealand) en

Summary

It is definitely the favorite cafe for most people in Wellington, and Windy Welli is known as the city of cafes, more precisely cafes, beer, culture but wind as well.
Why do I Like Fidel that much ? Because it’s a huge place that really has it’s own personality and where I had the most delicious food ever.

The venue

It’s located on Cuba Street ( Fidels cafe / Cuba Street kinda obvious ), a crowded and pedestrian precinct in Wellington where one can find a lot of cafes as well as various shops. The cafe is divided into 3 rooms. the first two have their own decoration and own ambiance and the third one is an highly prized terrace.

The meal

I went there for a coffee. And now I’ve become a huge fan of the flat white coffee , apparently known is the New zealand since the 80’s. It contains one or 2 doses of ristretto expresso and some milk coming out from the machine , like a cappuccino. It tasted really smooth.
I also got a slice of lemon pie which can be served with some yogurt or some wiped cream. I asked for the yogurt version because that’s how I serve it at home and it was the first time I could get it in a restaurant.

The verdict

My only Blame ? No wifi.
Except from that, everything seemed perfect to me. Fidel is definitely a great place for a coffee break.
